Whilst on the hunt for some random snacks to review, I came across The Happy Snack Company’s Chocolate Roasted Chickpeas. I really need some snacks that can charge my batteries, drag me out of the daily boring routines. Imagine a snack that truly tastes like real food — amazing, right? So the Chocolate Roasted chickpeas stood out as an interesting snack, as it is vegan friendly, dairy-free, gluten-free and nut-free, that’s so good, especially for me who seeks vegetarian snacks. This sounds wild given it is something that clearly exists to fill the niche of chocolate-coated nuts, but for those with certain dietary requirements or allergies. So, give it a try if you are looking for some interesting snacks with some special requirements.
This comes with 5 20g packets inside it, which feels like a good amount for a snack, but I have been eating two bags at a time.
What Do Chocolate Roasted Chickpeas Taste Like?
I’m not very familiar with roasted chickpeas, but definitely see how they can be a good nut alternative. I do find they have much less flavour than most types of nuts, however. The chocolate coating has only a very slight chocolate flavour to it. I would describe the product as rather bland, but still satisfying to eat. That’s exactly what I am looking for.
With a 3.5/5 Heath Star Rating, it is definitely better for you than the snacks it is replicating. If you are trying to lose weight or have dietary requirements, I definitely recommend it it. But if you’re looking for something super tasty, I’d stick to rechocolate-coatedted nuts.
